Unless, of course, you agree to the facts of "football"...
Football is quite famous in the UK, but little do they, and the rest of the world know, that...
Football is fake
Results of the matches are pre-determined, the players are in on the act, the "injuries", goals and "drama" are all written into this giant farce, of a sport.
The "managers" of the teams, the referees and the players all the results of the matches, and in some cases, even the exact score in the end. Some goals are carefully planned and choreographed before hand, but if the score, for example, the end score is scripted to be 3-2, but it's still 2-2, and the "goal" hasn't gone as planned, now the players must use their intuition, and improvise and use another method to score the goal, which usually looks less spectacular, or if they're desperate, an own goal of some kind is usually a way of changing the score.
The referee
The referee holds all the cards, literally. But have you ever noticed, that when a referee gives a player a yellow card and "books" them, he has to look into a small notebook? The perfect chance to have a break, re-read the script, or remind the "booked" or "warned" player about what to do. This is a kind-of un-verbal signal, when a player "fouls" another, it's usually a hint to the referee that he has forgoten/needs reminding of the script.

how about you prove with facts that football is indeed fake. yes I know I know theres youtube and replays and all, but still, you made assumptions. Did you actually have a conversation with FIFA officials in black and white? Any copy of a memorandum of understanding between all the teams associated with the FA that tournaments are to be carried out as scripted?
Hmmm if I were part of large mulinational insurance company, and I invested millions sponsoring a particular team, but I KNOW that the team will lose because its all part of the script, and hence, lose out on deals, revenue etc etc, wouldnt I be better of making money elsewhere?
it doesn't affect my life in any way, so let b fake. you're saying it mustn't b fake, or it shouldn't b fake?
i like it fake, pls let it continue to b fake.
I know I'm late but what the hell. About what Jun said, I actually believe that a company would prefer knowing the actual outcome because well atleast you'll know how much you'll be paying and what you'll get. So if you know for sure that barcellona will win the league than you'll be willing to invest more. This doesn't mean that Sponsoring say Crystal Palace that are pre set to make it to 8th place isn't worth it. Every club has it's own fanbase that stay loyal. If anything scripting would be very helpful for companies.
